Rio 2 returns with the original cast and also few new characters. The movie starts back in Rio but it soon sees Blu and his family off on a new adventure to the Amazon.
Ellie and Alyssa’s Little Opinion; Ellie says “My favourite part of the movie was when they found more species of their kind. Even though I did enjoy the movie I didn’t like it when the white bird Nigel was trying to hurt Blu. I liked Rio 2 equally to the original Rio movie.”
Alyssa says “I really liked the singing birds, they were really pretty. I didn’t like the naughty bird Nigel he was bad and trying to hurt Blu who I really like. I like Rio 2 better than the first Rio."
Guest Blogger Grandma's Big Opinion; "I didn't get to see the entire movie as Alyssa kept asking many many many questions. However I did enjoy the singing and the beautiful blue and red birds. I had Alyssa on my lap for most of the movie as she was scared and unsure of what was happening".
Mum’s Big Opinion; There was some great moments in the movie, the birds singing and the colourful scenery and it was nice to see how they all worked together in the end. A new favourite character Gabi the poisonous tree frog was introduced and produced many funny moments. But I must admit I did check my watch on several occasions to see how long I had to go. It felt at times the movie was going nowhere! I guess that gave the kids time to work out what was happening.... I think this movie would be better for the older kids as Alyssa struggled to keep up with the storyline.
Was it as good as the original I don’t think so, but that’s just My Opinion.
