Minions love to serve, they love to have a master. But the Minions find themselves without a master and they fall into a deep depression.
So Stuart, Bob and Kevin come up with a plan to find a new master. They leave the group in search of a new master and a new adventure.
Their search leads them to Scarlet Overkill. Scarlet Overkill (played by Sandra Bullock) is a super-villain who, alongside her inventor husband Herb, wants to be the new queen and take over the world.

Alyssa's Little Opinion: I liked the Minions movie it was fun to watch.
It was a little scary, when Scarlet tried to shoot the Minions. It was also sad when Kevin went into the sky and I thought he had died and I was never going to see him again.
My favourite part of the movie was when they got the crown.

Ellie's Little Opinion: I really liked watching the movie.
It was really funny when the villain said she had a great place for them to stay and they where so excited, but ended up in the Dungeon. The Villain's husband made me laugh a lot. The movie had lots of fun parts to laugh at!
Mum's Big Opinion: I must admit I had been looking forward to seeing the Minion movie since we saw the trailer at least 6 months ago. I thought it looked funny and an enjoyable movie for the kids to understand.
But I have to admit most of the funny parts were in the trailer and the storyline isn't so easy for the little ones to follow. The movie has a lot more violence than I expected and themes that the kids just won't get!
Of course the kids will enjoy the Minions quirky voices and their quest to find a new master. Like my little one you may need to explain along the way what's happening!
