Hiccup and Toothless return in How to Train Your Dragon 2. It's 5 years on and this time they discover an ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and a mysterious Dragon Rider.
Ellie and Alyssa's Little Opinion, Ellie says “I really enjoyed and liked the entire movie, I didn't find it scary. My favourite character was the mum; I liked her as she was a protector. I also enjoyed watching the people riding on the dragons during the dragon race. The movie was telling me not to physically fight for what you want but to talk to people and try and get them to understand and explain how you feel.
Alyssa says “I loved the movie but I didn't like one part which was very sad when one of the characters died and didn't come back alive. I was a little scared and jumped on my mum’s lap when the big bad dragon came along."
Guest bloggers Kaili and Rhys, both really enjoyed the movie. Kaili liked the twin girl with Eric and how hiccups parents got back together, but didn't like the alpha dragon fighting & how the bad Alpha made Hiccup turn on Toothless. Rhys loved the Alpha dragons fighting, the boy’s moustaches and Hiccup flying but didn't like it when there was a sad moment in the film with Hiccups dad.
Mum's big opinion; I defiantly recommend taking the kids to see this movie, it teachers the kids to aspire to be something different that you don’t have to follow and to stand up for what you want and believe in. It had lots of great scenes which include a wonderful reuniting, a very sad moment, lots of action and some scary scenes. If you haven't seen the first movie it wouldn't matter as the second one recaps it for you. It also has some very funny one liners to entertain the adults, don’t let this one pass - check it out!
We watched an advanced screening, it will be released nationally on the 19th June 2014, it’s a PG movie and runs for approx. 100minutes.
