How much fun was the Little BIG DASH?
It was sooo much fun for both the little kids and big kids! 2015 was the launch of the Little BIG DASH. It was first held in Brisbane earlier in July and then it made it's way to Sydney in August 2015. It is a fun family event all about getting the kids and parents together and having fun outdoors. |
The weather forecast was not looking good, it was 100% rain forecasted. No outdoor event wants to hear rain, especially in their first year. Luckily for us on this occasion the rain held off and we completed the dash which was made up of 10 obstacles spread over a 3km area.
The obstacles where fun and interesting which created lots of great moments. Some of the obstacles included running thru balloons, foam pit, ropes, balance beams and jumping castle climbing course with slide.

Ellie's Little Opinion: This was so much fun, I had a really great day.
I liked all of the obstacles but my favourite obstacle was the foam / bubble pit. Just as we arrived at the pit, they filled it up with bubbles. There was bubbles everywhere I couldn't see in front of me, I couldn't stop laughing. When we got out of the pit I was covered in bubbles.
It was fun going from one obstacle to another it just went by so quickly.

Alyssa's Little Opinion: I had so much fun... I cannot chose a favourite obstacle because I loved all of them.
The best part of the day was being able to do it with my mum, dad and sister. I liked how we could do the obstacle togethers especially when I went down the slide with my dad.
It was exciting to see what the next obstacle was going to be.
I really want to go again! Is it on again soon?

Mum's Big Opinion: This event was very well organised from the moment you registered online to entering the car park on the day. Upon arrival it was easy to find were to scan in, receive your coloured cap and what to do.
Although waiting in the chute to start did take a little while (they only let 50 people go every 1 minute) there was entertainment and everyone including the kids waited very patiently. It was worth the wait so everyone was spread along the course.
There were no complaints from the kids during the 3kms, they enjoyed walking and running between obstacles and even if there was a wait at an obstacle (which wasn't long) everyone was happy to wait and watch.
The only small criticism would be that it would of been great to see more toilets around especially with children (like mine) that wait till they are busting to let you know!!
We haven't stopped talking about the event and we will be back in 2016 and spreading the word on how much fun we had.
