Our recent trip to t he Jamala Wildlife Lodge, was so much more than a weekend away. On their website it says "A World of Adventure, Luxury and Excitement".
I had very high expectations for the weekend staying in one of the six Giraffe Treehouses available. From the moment we entered the Jamala property until the moment we left, I can concur our experience of feeding Hummer the giraffe, the accommodation, the meals and tours was a world of adventure, luxury and excitement! It was an unforgettable and exciting weekend filled with many great moments.
I really like feeding Hummer the giraffe his carrot on our balcony, it was so crazy how close he was to our room, he was just there!
I also liked patting the Rhino and feeding the Lions. I learnt that the female Meerkat's bite your cheek but the males will kiss you instead, I hope one day I get to receive a kiss and pat a male Meerkat.
I liked how are room was in the middle of the zoo and when you walked out the door you could pat the Deer's and watch the Alpaca's eat and sleep at your door step.
The most amazing part was being so close with the animals and watching them. I got to touch and feed so many animals it was incredible.
My favourite part was talking to the monkey, he kept making noises and raising his eyebrows and I kept talking back to him in a monkey voice.
I really want to go back again I cannot believe I even held a snake!
This was an experience of a lifetime not only for me, but it was so wonderful to be able to share it with my family who equally enjoyed the weekend away.
Our treehouse suite for the 4 of us was spacious and comfortable. The animal encounters of feeding Hummer the giraffe, patting a Rhino to watching a sun bear up close was amazing.
Then there was dinner, whilst my husband and I were enjoying our drinks and dinner (included in the accommodation) with the other guests our children were equally enjoying their time away from us, being able to feed the lions, hold snakes , play in the touch pool aquamarine and so much more. To tell you the truth I was a little jealous when they returned to us after dinner with so many wonderful stories to tell us about their experience.
If you have heard or thought about going to Jamala OR are now thinking should I go there..? You will not be disappointed, nor will you regret spending the money you will have an amazing experience to always remember no matter how old or young you are!
I am already saving my pennies to go back to check out one of the Jungle Bungalows for my 50th.
