The Early Start Discovery Space, is an interactive educational space designed for children and adults to enjoy together and learn through play.

It is Australia’s only dedicated ‘children’s museum’, and the first of its kind in the world based on a university campus.

The Early Start Discovery Space has been specifically designed for children from birth to 12 years and their  families and provides a   hands  on creative learning space.

The Tummy Tour -  Here's your chance to  explore an inflatable intestine and along the way you can hear  the heart beat, lungs breathing and digestive noises.
Alyssa's Little Opinion (6 years old):  It was all so much fun.. I've already asked to go back again.
I liked  working on the building site with my hard hat on and using my tools.  I also liked the markets place and purchasing my food .
But my favourite part was popping out of the bottom, I couldn't stop  jumping in the mouth , through the tummy and out the bottom!!!
The Construction Site -  here the kids can  pop on a  vest, helmet and pick up some tools and start to build a new home.
Ellie's Little Opinion (9 years old):  This was a really fun place to visit with lots of things to do. I liked playing outside, the construction site were  I could  build the bricks to the house,  but most of all I loved the tummy.
The tummy was so much fun especially when you come out the bottom you really had to squeeze out just like a poo (hahaha).
We also had the chance to sit down at the craft table and make a paper  flower.
The Shipyard -  You can climb the steep ladder and  take the helm to navigate the boat and discover the world.
Mitchell's Little Opinion (aged 6years old):  My favourite part was the digestion track and coming out of the bottom.
I also liked playing the life size chess game and climbing aboard the ship and moving the net.
It was  fun playing outside in the garden and jumping over the creek.  Another fun part was the construction area too.
Outside Discovery Garden  -   You can sit outside and enjoy your lunch, the kids can  play with water,  pouring and tipping.
Mum's Big Opinion:  We have attempted to visit this place on 6 occasions and something kept happening, so we were so happy to finally make it and have a really fun interactive day taking away great experiences.
There are great spaces for  little &  older kids, the spaces were also big enough for the adults to also interactive and play with  the experiences and help engage the kids in  play.
It is very family friendly with easily accessible toilets (& kids only toilets), free lockers so you don't have to carry everything and a great outdoor area for eating and playing in.
The Market  Place - Grab  a trolley or basket and start to collect your produce and head for the check out!
